Spring 2002 Board Meeting…..on 27Mar02

Minutes: 3 People in attendance. Meeting held at Culvers in Richland Center. Arthur Luttig, Ron Jervis, Aaron Young

President Arthur Luttig brought meeting to order.

No treasurer's report was given.

Last meeting minutes were reviewed and approved.

Items of Agenda Reviewed:

2002 Board of Director sheet approved with changes.

Discussed Walnut Brochure. 1000 have been sent out and a new order of 1000 to be put in. Motion carried and passed. All copies will come from Richland Center and Dale will follow up.

Arthur asked Aaron to call and follow up with Nancy on membership list.

Local 4-H has a strong organization and as a chapter can we order 1000 walnut trees for them to plant. Split order, 20-25 trees per kid.

Ron would like to see a letter to go with on how to plant and information about walnut trees. Motion, second, passed, as trial for this year, 1000 trees. Ron asked for new motion to pursue mailing and what county to target. Would like to follow the effectiveness of this mailing. Motion to insert into MFL plans this year. Aaron contact foresters about this. Motion to code applications to follow effectiveness, second passed. Ron will work on packet, Dale and Arthur to get copies to Aaron.

Spring Meeting:
Ed Godel had a WWOA meeting setup and will call to find out sites.

Fall meeting in progress with updates at the next meeting.
