Minutes of the Wisconsin Walnut Council Board Meeting

Board Members Present: Odell Anderson, Dan Bohlin, Larry Severeid and via conference call Jason Sable and Jim Widder

Board Members Absent: John Ouellette, Matt Singer

Advisors Present: None

Advisors Absent: Russ Moody, Bob Wieland, John Nielson, Dale Parker

1.The Fall meeting has been rescheduled for October 15, 2005 at the John Ouelette farm in Richland County.

2. Membership Update- Nothing to note at this time.

3. So far there are 39 people registered for the spring field tour.

4. Trees and Nuts- Acrobasis field trial near Boscobel had the fenced areas planted to fill in where the direct seeding did not take. It was noted the fenced area has much less deer browse then unfenced area. The trial area in Iowa has multiple trees in some holes. The Cascade Pine/Black Walnut Planting has pine browsed.

5. Discussion about last meetings minutes and the website. Jason Sable will email minutes will to Bob Wieland for posting.

6. Marketing- Nothing Noted

7. It was decided that the Fall meeting should try to be coordinated with a memebership meeting.

8. There was some discussion about Wisconsin hosting a national meeting in the near future. Larry Severied volunteered to initiate the process.

9. It was asked that Jason Sable contact Liz Jackson at the national office to update the officers on the website.
